Okay, can i just say, I love Jessica!!! :D
what a doll and GREAT friend!!!
I love her with my body and soul.
I would take a bullet for her
I would push her out of the way of a crazy car coming straight for her
I would give up my best seat at a Harry Potter movie showing just so i could sit by her

because she is just that cool & I love her to bits and pieces!

To my mom and dad:
Thank you both for everything!!

Thank you dad for being nice when driving with me
and for
staying calm when I almost hit the curb.
Thank you for saying prayer with me in the morning
and for
tolerating the cat when she rubs you while you are praying.
Thank you for your laughs and smiles and happy attitude
towards your life and family.
Thank you for being an adorable grandpa to Aiva and soon to be born Ethan.
Thank you for holding the priesthood and for exercising the
best father ever!
Thank you for being my dad! :D

Thank you mom for being the person who listens to my
crazy days!
Thank you for answering my weird and.....uh....occasionally asked
awkward questions. :)
Thank you for giving me frequent turbo kicks to my body
to keep me alert
and focus
and laughing.
Thank you for past summer days of laying outside with the fan on.
Thank you for being the mom who wants to do the Personal Progress
and BEATS her daughter doing it. :D
Thank you for your example of a loving family member, friend,
and most importantly,
mother.

I love you both and always will!
These next 3 years
will
be
the
BESTEST
times of your life!!!!!
muahahaha....

(can i get a cell phone now, or do i need more sucking up?) :) jk

We Shall Never Forget (9-11 Tribute)

Let the world always remember,
That fateful day in September,
And the ones who answered duties call,
Should be remembered by us all.

Who left the comfort of their home,
To face perils as yet unknown,
An embodiment of goodness on a day,
When men's hearts had gone astray.

Sons and daughters like me and you,
Who never questioned what they had to do,
Who by example, were a source of hope,
And strength to others who could not cope.

Heroes that would not turn their back,
With determination that would not crack,
Who bound together in their ranks,
And asking not a word of thanks.

Men who bravely gave their lives,
Whose orphaned kids and widowed wives,
Can proudly look back on their dad,
Who gave this country all they had.

Actions taken without regret,
Heroisms we shall never forget,
The ones who paid the ultimate price,
Let's never forget their sacrifice.

And never forget the ones no longer here,
Who fought for the freedoms we all hold dear,
And may their memory never wane,
Lest their sacrifices be in vain.

Rainy days

Friday, September 9, 2011

What is it about rain
that makes me want to dance in it?

The smell is incredible
and the thunder is great, loud and commanding even.
But I'd have to say that the sound of the rain pelting on the
cement
is what gets me.

Standing on the wet, lukewarm cement with rain falling on my face,
I just have to smile

And then I start twirling.
And jumping.
And skipping.

And sometimes, I might even hum.

I don't have an umbrella, 'cause I don't need one.
Why miss out on rain?

Question for you:
What's your favorite thing about rain?

15 and driving...

Thursday, September 8, 2011

So, I went driving tonight with my mom.

              I think I'm a born driver.
Every curve was taken with complete elegance,
and every stop sign was looked after with care.
Driving was simply a cinch! :D

That is, until I parked into the garage. :S

Parking in a garage is hard for me! Don't ask me why, but when I turn to pull in, I just have to turn the wheel everywhere so I can park in straight. But that is usually what doesn't happen.

I almost hit the side mirror, and then I blank out (no, not black out) and forget which way the wheel turns. So I almost crash the car............ into my own garage. : /
The tension was high, and my mom finally had to take over the wheel in the passengers seat.
.......I'll work on it though.......

I think I need to put on my license:
handicapped when it comes to parking in garages...

Question for you:
What's one of your worst driving experiences?

High School

So as a sophomore this year, a lot of things are new........ like the homework. Who do teachers think they are?! Come on!! It's almost like they think that since we are "little children" (ha) we need more homework in our lives. And i mean, EVERY teacher thinks this. So when every teacher thinks this.........yeah, there's a lot of homework in my backpack. Do you agree?
